Class 1 Driver

A.W.G. Northern Distribution, a major distributor of glass products throughout Northam B.C. and Alberta requires a Professional Class 1 driver with air. We provide a competitive package, scheduled trips, good equipment, a safe team atmosphere and weekends home. Hotels and meal allowance provided. 

Required Skills and Qualifications 

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean driver's abstract. 

• Provide excellent customer service, load, and unload on deliveries and pick-ups. 

• Complete pre and post trip inspections, and follow commercial driving regulations. 

• Safe and efficient movement of trailers in and out of dock doors, within and between facility buildings. 

• Daily inspection of truck; Monitor truck condition and communicate with the manager when repairs are required. 

• High level of personal integrity and strong work ethic. 

• Professional demeanor under stressful situations. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. 

• Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed. 

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 

• Nights availability.
